A Lifetime of Service
Dick Gould has a long and proud history of service to our community. Dick has spent most of his life in Greene County. After high school, he joined the Fairborn Police Department and served as an officer for 12 years. Dick worked both in uniform and as a plainclothes officer, including time as an undercover narcotics officer. Dick was instrumental in helping form Fairborn’s hostage negotiation team and was a recipient of the department’s Meritorious Service Award.
Experience and Expertise
While he was working as an officer, Dick earned his B.S. in Accounting /Management from Park University and a Masters in Accounting from Miami University with a specialization in taxation. He began working as a Tax accountant at KPMG, one of the world’s largest accounting firms.
Business Savvy Leadership
Dick later earned his real estate license. In 2004, he entered the real estate field as a full-time sales agent. In 2005, he opened his own real estate firm in Beavercreek while continuing to service a large number of tax clients. Dick owned and operated a successful, internationally franchised, real estate brokerage firm until he was appointed as Greene County Treasurer in 2011. He also served as a Senior Adjunct Instructor at Park University at WPAFB.
Leading the Way
Dick has pushed for more shared public services throughout Greene County. These services are an important and necessary part of every county. By sharing services, we can reduce the amount of taxes our residents pay and still have access to these benefits.
Dick Gould is a firm believer that we all must work together to achieve the best results for Greene County. That’s why he works with the legislature to change the laws to allow more collaboration between entities.
Dick Gould has promoted greater strategic planning within Greene County and places an importance on financial planning to allow for more flexibility in lowering taxes. Dick has worked to identify companies and bring them to Greene County to spur job growth. Economic grants have retained over 1,000 jobs and created over 1,000 new, high-paying positions.
Dick Gould has the experience Greene County needs. Dick has served on legislative committees for the County Treasurer's Association of Ohio and the Ohio Society of CPA’s. Currently, Dick serves on many regional and local committees. He uses his expertise for the benefit of our community.
Dick Gould is the ONLY candidate who has voted to lower taxes. He will push our legislators to find substantial, long-term solutions to lower real estate taxes on seniors and homeowners.
